In the year 1995, Beta
Sigma-Upsilon Sigma establihed a chapter in Ateneo de Cagayan, popularly recognized as Xavier University, a Filipino, Catholic
and Jesuit academic community dedicated to the integral development of the person for the needs of Mindanao and the country.
This chapter was termed Omicron-Gamma Chapter with a total active members of 45, mostly boys grading 2.0 and above. However, when martial law was declared on September 21, 1972, student governments and organizations in ateneo were
abolihed. This brought the chapter to be permanently closed.
With the lifting of Martial law in 1981
untill 2003, a group of Basiliskans was charged with the restoration of the Ateneo Chapter. The former members of the
Order of the Royal Basilisk, Basiliskos Society played a significant role in restoring the dead chapter. In June 25, 2003,
to be able to compensate for its dissapearance, the Order of the Royal Basilisk Philippines, Basiliskos Society, which
existed only for the preparation of upcoming Betaupsians, took the reigns of the of quite some time . Led by Von
Joseph Perez of Sacred heart of Jesus, they conducted an election of officers. Alni Jun Banaag
was elected as GrandMaster, with Mark Duplito as his assistant or mostly known as the Vice-President
and with the coordination of Misamis Oriental General Comprehensive High School Chapter's Grand Basilisk Brixton
Ray Villanueva, they started to recruit students and held initiations.
Since then, the Chapter had a concurrence
of different plans in the campus having 30 active members who are mostly freshmen,sophomores and juniors grading 2.5 and above.
